ANIMATION WORKSHOPS – 26 July – 22 August 2010
A four week regional animation workshop is designed preceding the
Animafrik festival. Cilia Sawadogo Concordia University will lead a team of 4
animators to run West Africa’s first animation master class
August 23 -28 2010
FILM SCREENINGS
Request for submission of animation films opens on 5th March
2010 and will have 5 categories for submission. Animafrik 2010 is designing
flexible day time and evening screenings and will commit days for national
films.
ANIMATION CONFERENCES
Once again, as a developing industry seeking to promote its identity, Animafrik
will offer a platform for dialogue between academia and industry; this year’s
events will be looking at
· Teaching Animation

Producing Animation
·
Challenges in growing national industries in West Africa
·
An African / Caribbean forum
·
The Anansi Mission
ANIMAFRIK SCREEN
The festival will make available 8,
40 minutes slots open to independent
animators and digital artist who have experimented works to showcase to the
public.
An opportunity for feedback and interaction between artist and his
audience.
