FESTIVAL

Toon festival is designed to promote African art and animation over a three day period. The festival hopes to showcase works from the continent of Africa and from black animation filmmakers around the world. The festival will use this platform to showcase films from cultures that have associations with Africa or black communities.

SCREENING

The festival hope to screen over 300 animation films from Africa, South and North America and Europe in four locations in the city of Accra and will have the honour of having some of the film makers present. Two screenings in Kumasi and Cape Coast

AFRICA ANIMATION’S FORUM

The festival will organize a forum to discuss the development of the Africa Animation industry.
The forum intends to widen participation to include key decision makers in organizations who will partner the growth of the emerging Africa industry. The session will provide a platform for networking and an opportunity for animators to discuss issues that will promote the growth and development of the Africa animation industry.

ACCOMODATION

Hotels will be selected around event locations to make it easier for participants to attend events. The festival will publish a list of discounted hotels and restaurants in good time ahead of the events
